After my father passed away, my mother refused to move out of state to live with us. Her church family, friends, former coworkers, doctors, and community are all in Raleigh. I visited several commercial assisted living centers, and while their facilities were impressive, with so many other patients, I was concerned that she wouldn’t receive the love and attention she was accustomed to receiving at home. Thankfully, I learned about Orchid Gardens Assisted Living Center! It gave Mommy a feeling of being at home, and the nurses and staff were professional, kind, and loving. They’ve been like a surrogate family, and Orchid Gardens is like a home away from home. Mommy received a beautiful welcome basket of necessities and treats upon arrival. She slept all night the first night, which put my mind at ease. In addition to the care they provide, they’ve accompanied Mommy to doctor appointments, taken her on outings to the supermarket, arranged concierge hair appointments, and even brought her to the NC State Fair. They even arranged for her to send personalized Christmas cards and threw her a birthday party, and we invited her friends to the celebration. Mommy loves it when they paint her fingernails, and when her friends visit, they always call to tell me how pleased they are to see her smiling and happy. I highly recommend Orchid Gardens Assisted Living Center to anyone considering placing their loved ones outside the home.
